Nokia 5800 Xpress

The Nokia 5800 Xpress joins together Symbian Touch with the XpressMusic player, to create one of the coolest music phones money can buy. Combining a large touchscreen with the Symbian Touch OS means that the Nokia 5800 Xpress is wonderful to use, whether you're writing a text, or flying through web pages on the amazing screen. If you want a brilliant smartphone, which also offers phenomenal music, then grab the Nokia 5800 Xpress.

Nokia 5800 Xpress

People have been talking about it for months, and now, it's finally here: Nokia's first mainstream touchscreen mobile phone. A brand-new touch-based interface, a 3MP camera, and superb music playback all go to make the Nokia 5800 Xpress one of the most exciting mobile phones ever made!

Mobile phones with built-in touchscreens are the big things at the minute. The list of touchscreen devices grows bigger every day, but up until this moment, the biggest name in the industry, Nokia, haven't brought out their own 2008-spec touchscreen monster-phone. Well, now they've changed all that, and released one, in the form of the stunning Nokia 5800 Xpress.

Mainstream Touchscreen

Ok, they might have made touchscreen mobile phones previously, but not one of them has been as eagerly anticipated, or as downright brilliant, as the Nokia 5800 Xpress. It redefines how you use your phone, with a sleek interface, mashed up with that standard Nokia brilliance. The reason it can do that so well is all thanks to the Symbian operating system, a brand new incarnation never seen on any previous mobile phones. And if that doesn't sound too tempting, consider that what it adds up to is this: with the fusion of the touchscreen, and Nokia's trademark user-friendliness, the Nokia 5800 Xpress is easily one of the nicest and most user-friendly mobile phones you'll clap eyes on!

Xpress Yourself

As you may have noticed from its name, the Nokia 5800 Xpress belongs within their XpressMusic range of mobile phones. And that means you'll have properly awesome sounds from this baby. Needless to say, you control your tunes through the touchscreen, so the merest brush of your fingertips will have the phone pumping music in your ears. Then, as your ears are being filled with song, let the 3 megapixel camera within the Nokia 5800 Xpress thrill your visual senses with the breathtaking photos it throws out, which you control, once again, by touch.

Finally, you also get the most advanced touch-based maps, using the GPS in the Nokia 5800 Xpress. Or you could check out the web at proper broadband speeds of up to 3.6Mbps. Whatever you want, everything is, quite literally, at your fingertips with the marvellous Nokia 5800 Xpress.

With lightning fast data speeds, an amazing web browser, and integrated Flash (something massively important for proper internet access), the Nokia N97 lets you view the internet just the same as on a PC! Nearly all phones nowadays have a camera, and the Nokia N97 is just the same. Actually, with this baby, you get a superb 5 megapixel camera, with flash, autofocus and super-sharp Carl Zeiss lenses, designed to let you take the best photos you've ever seen!

After you've snapped something with the camera, you can also geotag it using the integrated GPS inside the Nokia N97. AT and T to Launch the HTC Hero in Early 2010

AT&T to Launch the HTC Hero in Early 2010

Wireless carrier AT&T has been caught once again in the rumor mill, this time around with news on the possible availability of HTC Hero on its airwaves in early 2010. It seems that the mobile phone operator has finally decided to go for Google's Android operating system, and that the Hero might be its first device running under the platform.

For what its worth, this is not the first time we learn that AT&T is planning on offering the HTC Hero to its users, though the latest rumors on this proved false as soon as the chinless Hero went official on Sprint's network. However, phone Arena says that this piece of info comes from a source close to AT&T's plans, and things might finally prove real.

The HTC Hero, as many of you might already know, is the first Android-based device from the Taiwanese phone maker HTC Corporation that came to the market with the company's HTC Sense solution, aimed at enhancing the user experience for those who own an HTC device. The solution is available only on the Hero at the moment, yet the company already announced that it planned on delivering it to more of its phones, and the Windows Mobile 6.5-powered HD2 has been already said to come to the market with it.

The specification list of HTC Hero includes a 3.2-inch touchscreen display that boasts a 320 X 480 pixel resolution, a 5-megapixel photo snapper, a 3.5mm audio jack, Wi-Fi connectivity, and more. The handset also comes with flash support and has been rumored to come to Verizon Wireless too, though without the HTC Sense solution on it. Although nothing is solid at the moment, there are great chances that the HTC Hero will finally make its way to AT&T's offering at the beginning of the next year, since the carrier will soon remain the only large wireless service provider in the US without an Android phone in its lineup.

Marvell Delivers ARMADA CPUs for Next-Generation Devices

Marvell Delivers ARMADA CPUs for Next-Generation Devices

    Including ARM instruction set smartphones

Leading provider of communications and consumer silicon solutions Marvell announced on Monday its ARMADA family of processors aimed at next-generation ARM instruction set smartphones, smartbooks, as well as consumer and embedded devices. The chips come with great mobility, featuring both lightweight designs and great battery life, and are meant to fulfill the current needs for high-quality entertainment, cloud-based service support and social networking.

The Marvell ARMADA family is based on the company's own CPU technology, and can provide desktop-like performance levels, as well as support for Adobe Flash technology and Blu-ray functionality. Moreover, they also feature great broadband connectivity, as well as a great array of price options, making them fit for a wide range of devices.
The company's family of processors includes the ARMADA 600 series, aimed mainly at high-end smartphones, which can offer support for high-performance applications and multimedia features at low power rates and in small form factors. The family also includes the ARMADA 100 series, the ARMADA 500 series, and the ARMADA 1000 series.

    “Designed from the ground-up, Marvell's best-in-class
ARM CPUs are at the heart of each chip. Unlike comparable products in the industry, Marvell's CPUs deliver higher performance and lower power dissipation while providing full software compatibility to all ARM-based applications,” the company says. Moreover, it also adds that the ARMADA family of processors comes with support for a variety of primary operating systems, including Microsoft Windows Embedded CE, Windows Mobile, Google Android, Linux, Maemo, Ubuntu, and China Mobile's OMS. Moreover, Marvell also says that it offers “board packages for original equipment manufacturer's (OEM) development” with support for technologies like Adobe Flash, Microsoft Silverlight, and Real Player from Real Video.

“Launch of the ARMADA family represents a watershed event in mobile computing,” said Ms. Weili Dai, Marvell's Cofounder and Vice President and General Manager of the Company's Consumer and Computing Business Unit. “The ARMADA family delivers to
mobile devices what skeptics once doubted could be done: fast, PC-caliber processing, full Internet experience, rich media including HD quality video and 3D graphics - all in lightweight form factors with long battery life. There will always be a place for PCs, but the future of mobile computing - for smartbooks, e-readers, smart tablets and more - will by necessity get its DNA from smartphones, not PCs. Marvell's world-leading technology portfolio allows us to provide a complete platform solution not only for mobile computing, but also smartphones, gaming, printers, personal and home entertainment, and emerging consumer markets.”

Motorola Droid Accessories at Best Buy

Motorola Droid, the second mobile phone the handset maker is expected to deliver to the market running under Google's Android operating system, has been already reported to be on its way to the market sometime at the end of October or in early November, and some of the latest news reports on the Internet are pointing towards this launch window as well.

A recent post on Phone Arena shows that Best Buy has already started to receive accessories for the device, something that can only suggest that the handset is about to become official and be put on sale. The shot attached to this article (below) shows clearly that the accessories came in for the Motorola A855, none other than the Android 2.0-based Droid that Verizon plans on at least announcing on October 30.

As many of you might already know, the mobile phone carrier already put a website in place where it advertises the capabilities of the upcoming Droid, which can do what Apple's iPhone can’t. The Motorola Android phone is already a popular device among enthusiasts, and the carrier is working on making it even more popular, that's for sure.

The website shows a counter that will stop on October 30, yet it is rather uncertain whether the handset will be actually launched at that moment or it will only be announced. Some of the latest rumors on the web suggested that November 6 would be the actual availability date for the Motorola Droid, and these suppositions might prove true in the end, especially since a promo video with the device also shows November as the availability time frame.

One way or the other, the one thing that is certain is that the handset is coming our way, and that Best Buy will also be offering it to mobile phone users in the US. It remains to be seen what exactly Verizon has in mind for October 30, and the same applies to the phone's availability in Europe (Droid has been spotted with support for European bands on board). Stay tuned for more.
